Artist Statement
My work explores healing, resilience, and human connection through sculpture. Working primarily in bronze, I am interested in how form can carry emotional weight without relying on narrative — how a gesture, a curve, or a surface can communicate presence and memory.
I approach sculpture as an emotional space, translating lived experience into symbolic forms rather than literal representation. Hands, human silhouettes, and animals recur throughout my work as archetypes — simplified figures that invite viewers to project their own meaning and experience.
I am drawn to restraint and minimalism, removing what is unnecessary so that what remains can be felt more clearly. Bronze, with its permanence and historical resonance, creates a quiet tension with the softness of the forms I create. Through this contrast, I explore the idea that fragility and strength are deeply interconnected.
Ultimately, my sculptures are intended to create moments of pause — quiet invitations to reflection and connection.
