Shir Chadash – Music, Arts and Spirituality Retreat – October 30 – November 2, 2025

This immersive retreat is intended for everyone from clergy, songleaders, musicians and artists to anyone who appreciates Jewish music and the arts, regardless of their level of participation or expertise. It will include singing, repertoire and songleading skills, songwriting workshops, visual arts, storytelling, written word and bibliodrama, holy drumming, scribal arts and Torah repair skills, dance, yoga and wellness, and a transformational Shabbat filled with joy. The intention is for individuals to come together as a community to sing, learn, teach, rejuvenate, and grow, and to bring back inspiration and tangible skills that they can share with their home communities.

When and Where?

Thursday, October 30 through Sunday, November 2 with an added bonus intensive day on Wednesday the 29th.

We’ll be at a beautiful retreat center in Rockland County, NY. It’s about 45 minutes from Westchester airport, 1 to 1.5 hours from LaGuardia and JFK, 2 hours from Hartford, CT and 3.5 hours from Boston. We’ll help arrange transportation and carpools.

What Now?

We need to get a sense of how many people will attend ASAP, which will help us finalize the per-person costs. We anticipate it will be between $800-$975 per person, including room and board, materials, and security.
