As a storyteller, Lynn enjoys infusing her abstractions with a narrative quality. The marks on the canvas evoke images colored by current events and issues. Lynn builds on these suggestions until the painting arrives at a place where the viewer can take it further. The viewer is invited to complete the “abstraction” with the mind’s creative eye.
The painting becomes an interactive dance between the curious psyche of the viewer and the teasing marks of the painter.
Lynn’s studio is tucked away at the back of Michael O’Keefe’s Creative Center on Arapaho in Richardson. The place hums with the passionate creativity of inspiring fellow artists.
