Born in Paris, France and raised in Tel Aviv, Israel, Loli Kantor is a documentary and fine art photographer whose work is concerned with community and the human condition.

Kantor’s recent work centers on Jewish life and culture in Central and Eastern Europe. As the daughter of Holocaust survivors, she brings a deeply personal interest, as well as unique sensibility to this body of work. Her forthcoming monograph “Beyond the Forest”, published by the University of Texas Press, will be released in November, 2014.

Her work has garnered notable awards and recognition and she has exhibited both nationally and internationally. Her photographs are included in museum collections among others, The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; The Harry Ransom Center at The University of Texas at Austin; Lishui Museum of Photography in China; Lviv National Museum in Ukraine; Drohobych Palace of Arts in Ukraine, as well as numerous private collections in the United States and abroad.

Kantor photographs in B&W film and prints in traditional gelatin silver, platinum/palladium as well as archival digital methods.
