Creating has always been a part of me. My mom taught me from a young age to color outside the lines. I’ve always wondered what it would be like to have all day to create ceramic and glass art. And now I have my own studio and the opportunity to do so.
My style is all about movement and geometry (I guess the engineer in me still comes out sometimes).
As I think about my art, I realize that all of my experiences have influenced me. I prefer creating to consuming so everything is hand-built. My Jewish upbringing often leads me to create Judaic but functional pieces of art including menorahs I like to display year round.
People who know me say I never sit still and that movement is essential to who I am. I am often easily distracted so some of my work mixes my two favorite mediums of clay and glass.
